A FEW OF EMILY'S FAVORITE THINGS INCLUDE:
I'm always up for an adventure, whether it's capturing an engagement session on top of a mountain, photographing a vowel renewal by the sea, taking part of a beautiful elopement in one of our great national parks, or tagging along to capture special memories of you and your loved ones during your family vacation. I'd love to connect with you, tell your story, and create something beautiful!
My approach is simple yet intentional. My goal is to thoughtfully capture your connection and love in a timeless manor, so your photographs never go out of style. By documenting your life and processing your images with a clean approach, you will have beautiful and timeless photographs to last a lifetime. I’d love to work together and have a part in telling your story!
When I'm not behind the lens or post processing, you can most likely find me on our farm, with my husband and our sons, or in the garden with our dog Gus and cat Ox. The outdoors has always been a huge part of me. I’ve been obsessed with light and nature for as long as I can remember. I spent most of my childhood outdoors riding horses, zip-lining across the creek, playing in the woods and searching for arrowheads. Sunrise and sunset feed my soul. There is something about watching the sunset that is an automatic reset reminding me of what’s most important in this life. God is my steady throughout this journey here on earth, and I lean on him as my voice of reason.
During the summer months, my family and I love to escape to our little, remote shack off the grid. Truth be told, I feel most at home when we're spending quality time off the grid deep in the mountains. There's something magical about being far away from civilization, without the modern day conveniences of electricity and cell phone coverage. This time away has a way of sparking creativity, cleansing the soul, and resetting the mindset reminding me of what's most important in the world. My days here start with a good book and a hot cup of tea, and they end with a glass of vino in hand with the guys playing guitar under the stars.
